D-Day

Thanks to the radio, I was reminded that today is the 68th anniversary of D-Day. Eight years ago today I was in Normandy during the 60th anniversary and it was a memorable day. However, these pictures were taken in 2007 when I went back with my family. I haven't scanned in my 2004 pictures, but I remember seeing all different flags united, many people in uniform and overall humanity working together to remember those who had lost their lives. Leaders from all over the world gathered to celebrate peace and remember such a momentous day. It's something that I've been thinking about today.
