Word of Advice

Last weekend some Hiers girls attempted (and accomplished) a large project. Jenny, Trisha, and I set out to MV to do a room makeover in one of the rooms in the house. We painted the walls last September, but we recently bought all new bedding (a new Queen bed too), decorations, lamps, pictures, etc. and decided to restore the furniture. We stripped the old paint because we wanted it to be white and the old paint was chipping. Well, never again will we strip furniture! What a process and ordeal (can you hear my dramatic sighs). We learned our lesson the hard way - so my advice is either 1. Paint over furniture or 2. buy new furniture. However, we did have the satisfaction of completing our goal and seeing the results of our labors....but it was manual labor. Needless to say, we were exhausted by the end of our trip.
